Lamar Jackson and Dak Prescott enter the NFL Playoffs this year as two of the quarterbacks that everyone should have their eyes on. They have been two of the best overall players all season long and are among the favorites to be named the NFL MVP this year. Their teams are also among the favorites to win the Super Bowl this season.

While both players have extremely high expectations for the postseason this year, their career playoff records have been unimpressive so far. They have the opportunity to change the narrative during their playoff runs this year, but here is where their disappointing postseason careers currently stand.

Exploring Lamar Jackson's playoff record: How many wins does Ravens QB have?

Lamar Jackson may very well win his second NFL MVP award this season, as he is currently a massive favorite to do so. He also has the Baltimore Ravens in prime position to make a deep postseason run. The team earned the best record in the entire league this year, giving them the top seed in the AFC with a first-round bye and home-field advantage.

Regular-season success has never been an issue for Jackson as he is a two-time first-team All-Pro, and his 58-19 career record is one of the best in NFL history. He has totaled 154 touchdowns, averaging two per game, with just 45 interceptions in his career. However, his playoff record has been a much different story.

In four career postseason games, Jackson has a 1-3 record with just four total touchdowns and five interceptions. He has never advanced past the Divisional Round in any of his three trips to the playoffs. He will need just one win this season to do so for the first time ever, but he will likely need to play better than he did in previous years.

Exploring Dak Prescott's playoff record: How many wins does Cowboys QB have?

Dak Prescott has been spectacular during the 2023 NFL season, leading all players in many passing categories. He helped the Dallas Cowboys win the NFC East division title and earned the two-seed in the conference for the NFL Playoffs. His monstrous year puts him among the top three favorites to win the NFL MVP award this year, but he has made winning a Super Bowl his number one priority.

Prescott has been a starter for eight years, and with the exception of his one injury-shortened campaign, he has never posted a losing season. Prescott's solid career record sits at 73-41 with 230 total touchdowns and 74 interceptions. He has also made three Pro Bowl appearances in his excellent regular-season career but has been unable to find the same success in the playoffs.

In four postseason appearances, Prescott has started six games and posted a 2-4 record. He has never won multiple games in any postseason and, like Jackson, has never made it past the Divisional round. His statistics have still been relatively solid, including 15 total touchdowns and five interceptions, but he would likely be willing to trade them in for more playoff wins.
