The Las Vegas Raiders parted ways with head coach Antonio Pierce following their disappointing 2024 NFL season. They are among the teams seeking to find the right person for the job. Here are the top five potential candidates.

#5 - Patrick Graham

Patrick Graham appears to have an inside track to potentially being named the next head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, considering he has already been serving as their defensive coordinator.

He has a relationship with owner Mark Davis, and while he has no experience being a head coach, he was interviewed.

#4 - Steve Spagnuolo

Steve Spagnuolo failed in his first opportunity to be a head coach but has since found a ton of success as the defensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs. The Raiders have reportedly interviewed him for their opening and partial owner Tom Brady spoke highly of his coaching abilities, so this could potentially help him get the job.

Pete Carroll is an extremely successful head coach, winning a Super Bowl ring with the Seattle Seahawks. He also won a college football national championship with the USC Trojans.

The only downside to potentially hiring him is that he is already 72 years old, so his future could be limited, but few candidates have achieved more than he has during his career.

Ben Johnson is one of the hottest names during the 2025 NFL offseason for the role of head coach following his incredible success as the offensive coordinator of the Detroit Lions. He could theoretically be paired with one of the top quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft to create an exciting future outlook.

#1 - Bill Belichick

Bill Belichick has a clear connection to the Raiders, considering Tom Brady is a part of their ownership group. They won six Super Bowl rings together with the New England Patriots and may be looking to recreate some of that magic in Las Vegas. He is currently signed as the head coach of the North Carolina Tar Heels, but his contract can be voided with a $10 million buyout.
