Leo Chenal is a professional American football player who plays as a linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL. Chenal was the 103rd pick in the third round of the 2022 NFL draft for the Kansas City Chiefs. Chenal concluded his rookie season with 35 tackles and one sack. The following season, Chenal started 10 of the 17 games he played and by the end of the 2023 season, he had 65 tackles and three sacks. As of January 2025, he has compiled 160 total tackles, five sacks and four passes defended (via Pro Football Reference).

Chenal joined the University of Wisconsin-Madison for his collegiate football career. He recorded 20 tackles and one sack during his freshman season. He concluded his sophomore season with one forced fumble and 46 tackles (via the Wisconsin College website). As a junior, he was named the first-team All-Big Ten and Butkus–Fitzgerald Linebacker of the Year. After the season, Chenal declared that he would forgo his senior year to enter the NFL draft of 2022. For high school, Chenal attended Grantsburg High School, where he played both running back and linebacker.
