The Detroit Lions have won three straight games since starting the season 1-6. They currently sit in second place in the NFC North.
With their upset victory over the New York Giants on Sunday, the Lions are 4-6 and still in the playoff hunt.
The Lions are currently the tenth seed in the NFC. The Chicago Bears are in last place with a 3-8 record. No team in the NFL is mathematically eliminated yet, and it's still a little too early for teams to be eliminated.

Detroit could technically win out and easily secure a wildcard spot with a chance of winning the division, but that is unlikely to happen.
The Detroit Lions may get more help with rookie wide receiver Jameson Williams returning to practice
The Detroit Lions look like they'll be getting more help at the right time with the return of wide receiver Jameson Williams.
Detroit traded to pick No. 12 in the 2022 NFL Draft to select Williams with their second first-round pick.
Williams is recovering from a torn ACL suffered in the 2022 NCAA Championship and seems close to making his NFL debut.
Williams had 79 receptions for 1,572 yards and 15 touchdowns last season with the University of Alabama.
The Lions' first first-round draft pick, Aidan Hutchinson, has already made his presence known to opposing offenses. The second-overall pick has recorded 5.5 sacks, 31 tackles, one fumble recovery, two interceptions, and two pass deflections as a rookie thus far. One of his two interceptions came on Sunday against the New York Giants.
Detroit have a big game this Thursday as they host the Buffalo Bills. Getting Jameson Williams back for this game would help them make their chances less slender against one of the best teams in the AFC.
