The Week 7 contest was a close one (Image Source: Getty)
The Los Angeles Chargers and Arizona Cardinals met at State Farm Stadium as Week 7 saw two Monday Night Football games. Even though neither of these teams is considered a major contender, the game had an excellent quarterback matchup between Justin Herbert and Kyler Murray.

Neither team possesses explosive offenses, and as such, the game had a 7-6 score line at halftime. The Cardinals, playing at home, had the most opportunities. Even though the game had a team with a winning record and a losing record, it was close throughout the contest.
In the end, Los Angeles' own miscues hurt them badly, and Arizona was able to scrap with a win. It wasn't pretty, but the most important thing is staying alive in the season.

Chargers vs. Cardinals game summary
It was a close affair from start to finish, but the team with fewer playmakers looked destined to lose in the end. And that's exactly what happened.
Justin Herbert and Kyler Murray were the two stars of the show, but Murray was the one who made it count. After a torrid first half, he got himself an amazing 44-yard rushing touchdown to put Arizona in front in the fourth quarter and also led the team in a game-winning drive that ended with Chad Ryland kicking a short field goal.
Ad
This was a better offensive game for Los Angeles than it was in previous weeks. They finished with 395 total yards, but what's frustrating is that the Chargers did not score a single touchdown during the game. All 15 points came from field goals.
Justin Herbert finished with 27 completions, his biggest number of the season. The 349 passing yards he had were also his biggest number of the season. Everyone knows that the Chargers' quarterback is very good, but their lack of efficiency in the red zone and the lack of a dominant wide receiver is hurting the team right now.

Henrique Bulio is an NFL and College Football journalist at Sportskeeda and the Editor-in-Chief of Pro Football Brasil. He has a total 13 years of experience working in American Football, and playing quarterback at an amateur level in Brazil has given him a unique perspective of the game.
Henrique follows the Philadelphia Eagles closely due to Michael Vick's historic performance on MNF against the Washington Commanders in 2010. His all-time favorite player is Ed Reed; he believes that Reed is the greatest safety to ever play the game. Bill Belichick gets the nod as Henrique's favorite coach for coaching the Patriots to glory over two decades.
If Henrique were to be able to go back in time and watch one game, it would be Super Bowl XLIX, where the Patriots and the Seahawks played a complete, back-and-forth game that concluded with one of the biggest talking points in NFL history.
Technical deep dives are Henrique’s specialty, and he ensures never to use misleading words in his articles, since he himself consumes a lot of information off the web. He has had the privilege of interviewing Cairo Santos, Lamar Jackson, Jim Harbaugh, Sean McDermott, Bruce Arians, Matt LaFleur, among others.
Aside from football, Henrique likes to play poker and Counter-Strike.
