Based in the Greater Los Angeles area, the franchise hosts its home games at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood and is headquartered in Agoura Hills, California. The Los Angeles Rams, originally known as the Cleveland Rams (1936–1942, 1944–1945), were founded by Homer Marshman and Damon Wetzel. However, the team suspended operations in 1943 due to a player shortage during World War II, resuming play in 1944. In 1946, the team became the Los Angeles Rams, moving to Los Angeles. From 1995 to 2015, they played as the St. Louis Rams before returning as the Los Angeles Rams in 2016. Before Stan Kroenke, who purchased the team in 2010, the team was owned by Dan Reeves from 1941 to 1972. Carroll Rosenbloom then took over ownership from 1972 to 1979. Following his tenure, Georgia Frontiere owned the team from 1979 to 2008, and subsequently, Chip Rosenbloom owned the team from 2008 to 2010.

Additionally, he owns organizations like Arsenal W.F.C., the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rapids, Colorado Mammoth, Los Angeles Gladiators, Los Angeles Guerrillas, Screaming Eagle Winery and Vineyards, and Waggoner Ranch.

Hailing from Missouri, Kroenke was born in Columbia on July 29, 1947, and he is 77 years old, as of January 2025. During his formative years, he attended Cole Camp High School in Missouri. After completing high school, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Missouri.

Speaking of his personal life, he got married in 1974 to Ann Walton, the daughter of the co-founder of Walmart, Bud Walton.
