The last time the LA Rams faced the Minnesota Vikings, they emerged as 30-20 winners. Now, they will hope the outcome remains the same when they host Minnesota again on Monday, this time in a wild-card round game.

After losing to the Detroit Lions on Sunday night, the Vikings settled for fifth place in the NFC, missing their chance to claim the top seed in the conference.

Even though the Rams finished the season with four fewer victories than the Vikings, they will still play their wild-card round game at home. This is because LA placed fourth in the NFC after winning the NFC West division.

Rams injury report for wild-card round game vs. Vikings

Friday marked the Rams' second practice of the week, and the report was the same as the previous day. Only two players were listed on the team's initial injury report, which was released Thursday.

Offensive lineman Rob Havenstein (shoulder) participated in practice but only in a limited capacity on Thursday. It now seems that he will remain in that category until game day.

Tight end Hunter Long fully participated in practice twice this week despite his quadriceps issues. Both players are expected to play against the Minnesota Vikings in the wild-card round.

Havenstein has been dealing with a shoulder injury since the practice week leading up to Week 17. Due to the injury, he did not return to practice that week and also missed practice before last week's regular-season finale against the Seattle Seahawks.

However, according to coach Sean McVay, the veteran offensive tackle could have played if called upon.

"Yeah, he’s been great. He’s done really well. There would've been a possibility that he would've played yesterday, depending upon the circumstances," McVay said on Monday in reference to Havenstein's rehabilitation.
"He’s made great progress. I know he’s really champing at the bit ready to go, ready to help lead and do his thing and play the way that he's capable of. We are expecting Rob back, and we're excited about that.”

Even though Havenstein is anticipated to play on Monday against the Vikings, it will be crucial to monitor his health, particularly if the opposing team applies intense pressure from the right side in an effort to get past him early.

Long, meanwhile, had to leave the game against the Seahawks early last Sunday due to a quad injury he sustained. Since he has already fully practiced twice this week, it currently looks like the injury is not serious and won't keep him from playing in the upcoming playoff game.
