Madden NFL 25 is out, and the latest iteration of the EA Sports release is getting plaudits for innovation and accessibility. The game developers paid attention to user comments from Madden 24 and created the latest edition with attention to detail.

There are four main game modes on Madden 25: Franchise, Superstar, Ultimate Team and Online Head-to-Head. Here, we examine all four modes and how to get the most out of them.

Here's a look at the Madden NFL 25 game modes:

#1 Franchise Mode

Franchise Mode is one of Madden's most popular features. It features the ability to improve players during the NFL season. Also, you can hire and fire scouts, with each scout having a primary and secondary focus.

Furthermore, in franchise mode, you can hire and fire offensive and defensive coordinators. After hiring a coordinator, you can improve the attributes with XP points gained from winning football games. You can turn a coach with potential into a world-class coordinator with the right amount of XP and developmental nous.

The new feature in franchise mode for Madden 25 is the rebuilt NFL Draft experience. In 25's franchise mode, there are new environments, a Super Bowl celebration, team plus rookie records and much more.

#2 Superstar Mode

Superstar Mode in Madden 25 is a player-driven mode that lets you create and develop your very own NFL player. You can go from Combine prospect to Pro Football Hall of Famer in this mode.

Madden NFL 25 superstar mode lets you customize your player avatar, partake in seasonal events, collect rewards and build your player to a higher level.

#3 Ultimate Team

Madden Ultimate Team is a game mode that allows Madden players to build their football team and play against other players’ squads. This game mode features current-day players and past legends. The aim is to create the best team possible and compete with friends.

In Madden NFL 25, players can utilize numerous customization options, adjust lineups, take on challenges and more to improve in Ultimate Team.

#4 Online Head-to-Head

Online Head-to-Head is a statement feature in Madden 25 that sees players climb the leaderboard and battle it out in competitive seasons. The feature allows players to compete and earn in-game items, thanks to the upgraded rewards system.
