Malik Nabers injury update: Latest on Giants WR for Fantasy Football Week 6

The New York Giants have flattered to deceive through five weeks of football but if there has been one bright spot in all of their worries, it is Malik Nabers. Over just four games with the franchise, the LSU alum has been electric and arguably top of his rookie class alongside Jayden Daniels.

However, in Week 4, Nabers suffered a concussion in a loss to the Cowboys. He was immediately placed into the NFL's concussion protocol and, as a result, missed the Giants' Week 5 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Here's where things stand with Nabers for Week 6.

The Giants had more than a few names on their injury report after Wednesday's practice session with Nabers also listed on the report.

The rookie WR did not suit up for practice yesterday and, as things stand, remains a doubt to face the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.

Coach Brian Daboll has Nabers listed as "day-to-day" heading into Week 6.

However, Daboll also noted that Nabers is “doing better” and is “improved” after clearing a few steps from the NFL's concussion protocol.

“That’s why we’re going to get him out here on the grass today," the coach said. "So, he didn’t do that last week. He’s feeling better. But again, I’ll take those very seriously and go through each step. But he is doing better. So, we’ll see how he does after he does some activity out there on the grass today.”

If Nabers is still a DNP on Thursday and Friday, the Giants will have to be resigned to losing him for Sunday's showdown against the Bengals. If Nabers misses the game, Daniel Jones will have to rely on Wan'Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton.

The Giants also have Jalin Hyatt on the depth chart but so far they have been reluctant to get the 2022 Biletnikoff Award winner involved.

The Giants are also sweating on the fitness of their RB1 Devin Singletary, who was a limited participant on Wednesday because of a groin injury.
