Marcellas Dial, born on December 6, 2000, is one of the top cornerbacks in America to announce his participation in the 2024 NFL Draft. Dial started playing varsity football at Woodruff High School before his transfer to Georgia Military College where he excelled in the defensive backfield recording 10 tackles with one interception and one fumble recovery in 2019. He was rated the No. 7 junior college corner and the No. 51 overall JUCO prospect.

The following season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Dial committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks in 2021. He spent three seasons with the Gamecocks bagging 114 tackles, 28 pass breakups, three interceptions, one sack, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 36 games.

As a redshirt sophomore in 2021, Dial became a full-time starter and played in 13 games making seven starts at cornerback and also amassed 33 tackles including 25 solo stops. In his redshirt junior year, he played in all 13 games and started 10 at his usual cornerback position. He established himself as one of best cornerbacks in American football and has been an impact player on South Carolina’s defence for several years.
