
Marcus Yarns is a former collegiate football running back from the University of Delaware. He is a native of Salisbury, Maryland, and attended Parkside High School, where he began his football journey. Yarns joined the Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens in 2021 and played until the end of the 2024 season. As a freshman, he appeared in only one game when a broken leg kept him out. That fall, he saw limited action, recording 23 carries for 80 yards over eight games. In 2022, as a sophomore, he carried the ball 73 times for 481 yards and two touchdowns. His breakout year came in 2023. As a junior, he rushed for 939 yards and 15 touchdowns, averaging 6.9 yards per carry. He was named a third-team FCS All-American and for second-team All-CAA honors. In 2024, he played nine games, rushing for 844 yards and six touchdowns on 133 attempts. He also made 17 receptions for 297 yards and five touchdowns, earning first-team All-CAA recognition.
