Marlon Mack is an American football player who plays as a running back for the Denver Broncos in the NFL. The Indianapolis Colts drafted the year-six veteran in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, and he served as the team's primary running back for his first three seasons in the league.

However, Mack was struck with injury in his fourth year, which limited him to a paltry one game in year four and six in year five. The Colts drafted Jonathan Taylor, who has arguably become the best running back in the league. As such, the Colts waived Mack before the 2022 NFL season.

Since being waived by the Colts, Mack has been a member of the San Francisco 49ers practice squad. Eventually, he was signed by the Denver Broncos. The signing resulted from injuries to the Broncos' main running back threats and the recent release of former Pro Bowler Melvin Gordon.

Marlon Mack is in his sixth season in the NFL, with the first three years being super productive while the previous two were largely disappointing. However, he just got signed by the Denver Broncos.

Broncos head coach, Nathaniel Hackett, said Friday that Mack will have a role in the game plan in Sunday's matchup against the Panthers. As such, Marlon Mack could be granted a lifeline back into the NFL as long as he can stay healthy.

With the Broncos waiving Melvin Gordon and placing Chase Edmonds (ankle) on injured reserve in recent days, Mack looks set to operate as the primary backup to starter Latavius Murray in Week 12 of the NFL season. If Marlon Mack performs well, he will surely improve on his current fantasy running back position of 138.

Mack has definitely seen better days, and Indianapolis Colts fans will remember him fondly as the man that held the keys to their backfield for three years and then some. However, since his early Colts days, Mack has fallen on hard times on the Gridiron. Nevertheless, he has been around the league a bit, and hopefully, this stop at Denver could yield fruitful results.
