In 2007 Lynch signed a six-year deal worth $18.935 million with the Buffalo Bills. On March 4, 2012, he signed a four year deal worth $31 million with the Seattle Seahawks. He continued his dominant performance and remained the IT factor of the Seahawks. In the Super Bowl XLIX where the Seahawks were defeated by the New England Patriots in the loss of 28–24, Lynch had 24 carries for 102 yards and a touchdown. On March 6 2015 Lynch agreed to sign a two year extension with the Seahawks worth $24 million.
On Feb 2016 the day of super bowl 50 Marshawn Lynch via Twitter announced his retirement which shocked the entire football world. But the retirement was cut short after sitting out all the season Lynch came out of retirement when he was traded to his hometown Oakland Raiders. Lynch finished the 2017 season with 207 carries for 891 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns along with 20 receptions for 151 receiving yards.
