New Orleans Saints v Carolina Panthers

Matt Rhule was once touted as one of the best minds in all of football and was praised for his innovative systems in Baylor and Temple. He performed admirably there and thus got his first NFL gig when he was appointed as the head coach of the Carolina Panthers.

Rhule faced an uphill task reviving the fortunes of former Super Bowl contenders, the Carolina Panthers, and his job wasn't made easier by the lack of a top-notch quarterback to call the shots.

Moreover, the Carolina Panthers made a habit of drafting busts and questionable fits into the Rhule system. All these issues culminated in him getting the sack in October 2022, after he began his third season with four losses in five games.
