Micah Parsons dominated Penn State football for two seasons. He became a two-time All-Big Ten Conference and 2019 consensus All-American as well as a Butkus–Fitzgerald Linebacker of the Year and Cotton Bowl Defensive MVP.

Parsons started 12 games as a freshman in 2018 and had 72 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and 4 sacks. The Athletic and Sporting News named him Freshman All-American.

Parsons started all 13 games as a sophomore in 2019. 109 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles; Micah was Butkus–Fitzgerald Linebacker of the Year, Cotton Bowl Defensive MVP, and consensus All-American. He did not win the Heisman award but was a finalist nevertheless.
