Micah Parsons is a professional American footballer who plays for the Dallas Cowboys as an edge rusher in the National Football League (NFL). Micah Parsons' professional career began when he was chosen by the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the NFL Draft 2021.

On June 2021 he signed a $17 million deal for four years with the Dallas Cowboys. He was able to find immediate success with the Cowboys and in the upcoming weeks. In a match against the Minnesota Vikings, he had four tackles in a 20–16 win. He was able to record at least one sack in six straight games he also earned the award of the NFC Defensive Player of the Week. At that point in his professional career, he had played 13 games in which he was able to record 12 sacks which is the fourth most done by a rookie in NFL history. In his debut season, Parsons also won the award of unanimous Defensive Rookie of the Year and was ranked by his fellow team members at 16th in the NFL Top 100 Players of 2022.

Micah Parsons Continued his momentum in the 2022 season, where in a 22-20 win over the Los Angeles Rams he recorded two sacks and five tackles. In the 2022 season, he recorded 13.5 sacks, 65 tackles, and three forced fumbles. At the end of the year, Parsons was named to a first-team All-Pro for the second consecutive year. His third-year in the league saw him take down opposing QBs 14 times (career-best).

Before his journey in the NFL began Parsons played college football at Penn State where in his freshmen year he became the first Nittany Lions to ever lead the team. He continued his excellent performance where in a match against the University of Kentucky he had 14 tackles and a strip sack. In his sophomore year, he had a total of 109 tackles, 26 quarterback hurries, five sacks, and four forced fumbles. He was also named Cotton Bowl Classic defensive MVP of the year 2019. In the year 2020, he pulled himself out from the upcoming season due to concerns regarding the ongoing pandemic.

In Feb 2022 Micah Parsons won the Fastest Man portion of the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown. With a weight of 110 kg and a height of 6'3" parsons possess a combination of speed, agility, and quickness. The 3-time pro bowler is only 25 years old and still entering his prime, but in this short span, he has already established himself as one of the best pass rushers in the league.
