Mike McDaniel is a professional American football coach who currently serves as the head coach for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL).

Mike McDaniel's career as a professional career coach in the NFL began in 2005 when he joined his hometown Denver Broncos as a coaching intern. In 2006, he signed with the Houston Texans and he served as their offensive assistant coach. His time with them was greatly valuable for him and throughout his time with the Houston Texans, he kept evolving and enhancing his coaching skills. In 2009, he was hired by the California Redwoods as a running backs coach. In 2011, he was hired by the Washington Redskins as an assistant offensive coordinator, due to his brilliant coaching skills the Redskins promoted Taylor to the wide receivers coach in 2013. He was also hired by the Cleveland Browns and the Atlanta Falcons from 2014 to 2015.

In 2017, Mike McDaniel signed with the San Francisco 49ers as their run game coordinator and they also appeared in Super Bowl LIV where they faced the Kansas City Chiefs. In 2022, Mike McDaniel signed with the Miami Dolphins as their head coach and led the team to a victory against the New England Patriots. He helped the Dolphins win against the Bills for the first time since the 2018 season and also led them to a 9–8 record.
