Mike Tomlin is the current head coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the National Football League. He has held the position of head coach with the franchise for 16 years. He is undoubtedly the most successful head coach in NFL history.

Tomlin joined the Steelers in 2007 and has led the team to ten playoffs, seven division titles, three AFC Championship Games, two Super Bowl appearances and a Super Bowl title in 2009.

He became the youngest head coach at 36 to win a Super Bowl. The record was later broken by Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay, who won the Super Bowl LVI in 2022, aged 36 years and 20 days. Tomlin was six weeks shy of his 37th birthday when he lifted the big trophy.

Another achievement for Mike Tomlin is that he has never had a losing season in his 16 years in the NFL. It is one of the longest winning streaks in the history of the NFL. He has a winning record of 162-93-2.

The Steelers have been eliminated from playoff contention and are placed third in the AFC North with a 9-8 record. Under Tomlin, the Steelers went 8-8 thrice in 2012, 2013 and 2019, but it cannot be considered a losing season. To have a losing season, a team has to lose more games than it wins.
