According to CBS Sports, Blake Cashman hasn't participated in training all week. The linebacker is dealing with a toe injury.
Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell is unsure whether Cashman will be available for the Thursday Night Football game. However, he's positive he should return no later than Week 9.
Cashman hasn't featured for the Vikings since Week 5 because of turf toe. The Vikings sorely missed Cashman's presence against the Lions as Detroit took advantage of the flaws at LB.
T.J. Hockenson's injury update
T.J. Hockenson was a limited participant in Tuesday's training session, per CBS Sports. The veteran tight end is gearing up to return to action after a season-ending knee injury in 2023.
O'Connell will have to decide whether he'll be activated from the reserve/PUP list. However, his appearance on the injury report is a positive sign in his journey to recovery. Before he was sidelined, T. J. Hockenson was one of the best pass-catching TEs in the NFL and he could provide an impressive one-two punch for the Vikings alongside the high-flying Justin Jefferson.
Aaron Jones' injury update
It was also reported by CBS Sports that Aaron Jones was a limited participant in Tuesday's training session. The veteran running back is dealing with a hamstring injury.
Jones played through it in Week 7 and finished with 116 yards from scrimmage and one TD. He'll likely feature against the Rams.
Akayleb Evans' injury update
According to the Vikings injury report, Akayleb Evans was a limited participant in Tuesday's session as he is dealing with a hip issue.
Evans was sidelined against the Lions; however, he has a Wednesday session to prove his fitness.
