Week 8 of the 2024 fantasy football season concludes with a Monday Night Football matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants. Both teams have featured strong defenses this year, so this particular game is expected to be low-scoring. This means that managers will need to be careful with who they plug into their lineups. Here are some of the best targets and fades.
Giants vs Steelers MNF Fantasy Football Week 8 Start 'Em picks
Najee Harris has been heating up in fantasy football in recent weeks for the Pittsbugh Steelers. In his past two games, he has set season-highs in rushing yards and scored his first two touchdowns of the year on his way to two weekly finishes among the top 15 running backs this season. This makes him a strong fantasy option against the New York Giants this week.

George Pickens joins him as another Steelers player who should be targeted in Week 8 fantasy football lineups. In his first game with Russell Wilson at quarterback last week, he scored his first touchdown of the year on his way to a season-best WR3 weekly finish. The quarterback change may have unlocked his massive upside, so he is an excellent lineup option this week.

Giants vs Steelers MNF Fantasy Football Week 8 Sit 'Em picks
Darius Slayton entered his most recent game on his best two-week stretch of the entire 2024 fantasy football season. During that time, he totaled 14 receptions on 22 targets for 179 yards and a touchdown, while recording his two best weekly finishes of the year. He followed that up last week with an absolute dud, recording just one reception for 11 yards. Sportskeeda's Who Should I Start tool recommends leaving him on the bench this week.
The significant change in production can mostly be explianed by Malik Nabers' availability. The superstar rookie didn't play in the two games that Darius Slayton broke out, but upon his return last week, he shifted the veteran back to a minimal role.
It's unlikely that Slayton will offer much fantasy value in this game with Nabers in the lineup again, especially considering he is also behind Wan'Dale Robinson on the Giants' depth chart.
