The 6 ft 4 defensive end attended Martin High School in Arlington, Texas where he was the recipient of the Landry Award, an honor given to the top high school player from the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The former 5-star recruit coming out of college then committed to playing college football at the University of Texas A&M, where he played for 3 years, from 2014 to 2016. The 5-time pro bowler finished his collegiate career by accumulating 145 total tackles, 48.5 tackles for loss, 32.5 sacks, 1 interception, and 7 forced fumbles.Garrett’s terrific play continued even after coming into the league as he earned a spot on the PFWA All-Rookie team in 2017. Myles finished his rookie year with 7 sacks to go along with 1 forced fumble. His production went up in his sophomore season as he racked up 13.5 sacks in 2018. Since 2018, he has not had a single season without a double-digit sack count. The fearsome pass rusher has two seasons with more than 15 sacks in each of them under his belt. He has been named to First-team All-Pro 3 times and Second-team All-Pro twice in his first seven seasons. He was ranked No.1 by various executives, scouts, and coaches in the top 10 edge rushers survey done by ESPN in July 2024.
