In just two seasons, Najee Harris has quickly established himself as one of the better running backs in the National Football League.

A phenomenal high school football career at Antioch High School in Antioch, California saw Harris be generally regarded as the number one recruit in the class of 2017. After fielding offers from multiple colleges like Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, USC, and Notre Dame, he finally chose to go with the Crimson Tide.

Under coach Nick Saban, Harris conquered the collegiate land. In his third season, Harris became the starting running back for the Alabama Crimson TideFrom there, there was no slowing him down as he led his team to the Citrus Bowl victory. While there was speculation that he would declare for the 2002 NFL draft, he announced that he was returning to Alabama for a senior year. Due to the covid 19 pandemic, alphabet season was cut to an old conference, 10-game season. However, that did not stop Harris from cementing himself, as he led his team to another national championship with three touchdowns. By the end of his collegiate career, he was the all-time leader in rushing yards, total scrimmage yards as well as touchdowns for the Crimson Tide. Further, he was a two-time CFP national champion, a Doak Walker Award winner, a unanimous All-American, and a first-team all-SEC selection.

As a result, his selection in the first round with the 24th overall pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers was not a surprise, and he showed it. In his debut season, he was selected as an alternate for the train ready to Pro Bowl, as well as making the NFL all-rookie team. However, a Lisfranc sprain suffered during training camp slowed down his entire 2022 campaign. Approaching his third year, Harris will look to get back on track with the Steelers.

Najee Harris’s Height

Najee Harris has a recorded height of 6 feet and 1 inch or 1.85 meters. This height is slightly more than the average height of running backs in the NFL. As a result, it has allowed the Alabama alum to build a strong carrier as an exquisite catcher of a football. Najee Jerome Harris was born on March 9t, 1998 in Martinez, California. However, he spent the vast majority of his childhood nearby in Antioch.

While his height may provide him with a slight advantage, he still worked extremely hard to become one of the most efficient running backs in the game today. Whether it was at Alabama or with the Pittsburgh Steelers in his rookie season, his calling card was the lack of fumbles for a man at his position.

Entering his third season, he would like to get back on track and reestablish himself as one of the premier running backs in the game today.
