Ndamukong Suh is an American footballer who plays as a defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). Suh's career started in the year 2010 when he was selected by the Detroit Lions in the first round as the second overall pick of the NFL draft 2010.
He signed a deal of five years worth $68 million with the Detroit Lions and in a game against the St. Louis Rams, he recorded his first and only reception. In the following match against the Washington Redskins he scored the first touchdown of his NFL career. He continued playing impressively all through the season and was named the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year, AP Defensive Rookie of the Year, and ranked 51st by his teammates at the NFL Top Hundred Players of 2011. He finished the 2011 season with four sacks, one pass defended, and 26 tackles. In the 2012 season he was fined $30,000 for kicking Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub in a Thanksgiving match.
In the 2013 season in a 34-24 victory game against the Minnesota Vikings, he was again fined $100,000 for blocking John Sullivan which is the biggest fine ever issued to a player. In the 2014 season, Suh started in all 16 games and was named to the Pro Bowl. In the 2015 season, Suh signed a deal of six years worth $116 million with the Miami Dolphins and after three seasons with the Dolphins, he was released from the team. He signed a deal of one year worth $14 million with the Los Angeles Rams and finished the following season with 59 tackles and 4.5 sacks.
Suh reached the Super Bowl for the first time in his career after defeating the New Orleans Saints and in the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots Suh recorded two tackles. The Rams did not offer Suh a new contract so he signed a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on May 23, 2019. In Super Bowl LV against the Kansa City Chiefs Suh won his first Super Bowl where in the following game he recorded 1.5 sacks on Patrick Mahomes. In the 2022 season, Suh signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.
