New England Patriots at the NFL: AUG 19 Preseason - Patriots at Packers

The New England Patriots are a professional American football team based in the Boston area that plays in the NFL as part of the American Football Conference (AFC) East division. The Patriots' home field is Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Robert Kraft is the franchise's owner; he bought the team in 1994. The Patriots have sold out every home game since 1994 and are tied for the third-most valued sports team in the world as of 2024.

The Patriots are tied for the most Super Bowl appearances, 11, winning six and losing five, with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Denver Broncos. The team, which had a history of failure before the turn of the 21st century, had a run of success from 2001 to 2019 under quarterback Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick. The Patriots would set almost every significant Super Bowl record during the Brady-Belichick era, which is considered to be one of the greatest sports dynasties.
