Despite being in the same division, the Buffalo Bills and the New England Patriots have had quite different seasons to this point.

To keep themselves in the running for the top seed in the AFC heading into their Week 16 matchup, the Bills want to continue winning. Meanwhile, with just three wins this season, the Patriots have been among the lowest-performing teams in the NFL. However, their fans would be happy if they could play spoilers for the Bills on Sunday.

The Bills can effectively bury their hopes of becoming the AFC's top seed if they lose on Sunday.

Ahead of kickoff, let's find out the weather forecast for the AFC East matchup.

Weather forecast for Patriots vs. Bills on Sunday

When the New England Patriots visit the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, it will be quite cold inside Highmark Stadium. Given the time of the year, this is not a huge surprise.

That said, some players' performances may be affected by the predicted temperature, which is in the mid-10s, particularly those who are still getting used to the NFL's chilly weather.

No further weather-related issues will likely arise throughout the game, with the exception of the cold, which might affect how well the Bills' explosive attack performs.

The prediction is for generally cloudy conditions and little to no snow, although that could change as time goes on. The National Weather Service forecasts that the wind will only reach 1 to 2 mph during kickoff and that there is less than a 10% chance of precipitation.

It's unclear how the Patriots will respond to the relatively unusual cold weather, but it's likely that the coaching staff has equipped the players appropriately. This is particularly so for rookie quarterback Drake Maye, who played football in the usually warm state of North Carolina for his high school and collegiate careers before entering the NFL.
