New Orleans Saints vs. Green Bay Packers: Box score, player stats and game summary feat. Josh Jacobs, Spencer Rattler (Image Source: Getty)

But they still had games to play in 2024, and it began with a visit to frigid Lambeau Field in an attempt to delay the Green Bay Packers' playoff qualification by at least a week.

New Orleans Saints vs. Green Bay Packers game summary
The Packers opened the scoring with a touchdown from Jordan Love to Dontayvion Wicks:

Then they forced a punt on the Saints' first drive and promptly punished it with a Josh Jacobs touchdown. That process would repeat itself on the next pair of drives but with Chris Brooks responsible for the score.
Desperate for points, the Saints managed to get themselves to the opposing 29, only for Spencer Rattler to be sacked and lose possession. They managed to get back by forcing a punt, but another sack cost them, with Rattlers' Hail Mary attempt falling incomplete.

The second half began with the Packers forcing a punt from the Saints, then promptly punishing it with a field goal. More disaster then struck when Zayne Anderson intercepted Rattler, but the Packers could not capitalize, having to punt.
The hosts would not have to worry, however, as they punished another Saints punt with a field goal. And then they forced a turnover on downs and punished it with another rushing touchdown, this time by Emanuel Wilson.
A final Saints turnover on downs ended the game.

If he can change one moment in NFL history, it will be from the NFC Championship Game in January 2019. In that game, a highly controversial no-call cost the Saints what would have been Drew Brees' second Super Bowl visit, where he would have faced Tom Brady and the Patriots.
