Russell Wilson was once again a major taking point on Monday night, as his Pittsburgh Steelers hosted the Giants in their second straight game against a New York team with the aim of seizing the outright lead in the AFC North.

Meanwhile, Daniel Jones and company were looking to rebound from being humiliated by former star running back Saquon Barkley and the Philadelphia Eagles in their own home field the previous week.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs New York Giants summary

The game began with a Broderick Jones face-mask penalty nullifying a potential George Pickens touchdown, forcing the Steelers to settle for a field goal. The Giants promptly answered with one of their own after a monstrous loss of yards on their own first drive.

Russell Wilson then failed to capitalize on a couple of opportunities on the endzone, forcing yet another field goal. Then multiple penalties hampered the Giants' next drive, which lasted into the second quarter and ended in yet another field goal.

Yet another Pickens touchdown was nullified after he was determined to have failed to get both his left and right feet in, leading to the fifth field goal of the night. The Giants scored a thied field goal of their own to end the first half at 9 apiece.

To begin the second half, the Giants and Steelers exchanged punts on their opening drives. The game was blown wide open when the Steelers forced another punt, then Calvin Austin III returned it 72 yards for a touchdown.

In the fourth quarter, the Giants were forced to punt again. This time, they paid dearly for it, as Wilson found Austin for a long touchdown catch:

Eventually, the Giants got their breakthrough when Tyrone Tracy Jr. rushed for a touchdown. The two point attempt failed, however:

Chris Boswell then hit his fourth field goal of the game to return the lead to double-digits. Greg Joseph responded to reduce the deficit to a single score. After that, both teams exchanged lost fumbles.

The Giants then got a massive break when they forced a punt, but the game ended when Beanie Bishop Jr. intercepted Daniel Jones.
