New York Jets WR Elijah Moore's Fantasy Outlook for Week 15

New York Jets v Philadelphia Eagles

Elijah Moore is a contributing member of the New York Jets wide receiver group, which features one of the hottest rookie wide receivers of the year and some solid vets.

Moore is playing his second season in the NFL and has a much different role than his first year on the Jets. As in his first season, he was an undisputed starter at wideout, but he has dropped down the pecking order this season.

He is getting fewer targets, looks, and reads from his rotating group of QBs. It remains to be seen what the rest of the season and the next holds for the Ole Miss alum.

However, it wasn't always this gloomy for him at the Jets, as last season, he was the team's QB's favorite target. He balled out, and only injury prevented him from adding to his 43 receptions, 538 yards, and five touchdowns stat line. This season might not be going as great, but some of that rampaging rookie remains.

Elijah Moore's Fantasy Outlook

Elijah Moore is rostered by a respectable 45.4% of NFL fantasy managers, who hoped for a return to his 2021 form. These managers might not be best pleased, as the 2022 NFL season has yet to be as productive for the 2021 Draft pick.

The second-year pro saw 10 targets and six receptions for 60 yards after catching 6-of-12 targets for 88 yards combined in the previous three games. It is fair to say that Moore has not been the same since requesting a trade away from the Jets trade, but heading into the Detroit Lions game, he is slowly kicking into peak form.

An offense comprised of a rampant Garrett Wilson and a motivated Elijah Moore is a dangerous prospect, and it doesn't matter which QB is throwing the passes.

How is Elijah Moore performing this season?

Elijah Moore has had a tumultuous second season in the NFL. His season started on an awkward note and got even more toxic when he demanded a trade away from the Jets. He was disciplined for the ill-advised trade request, and since then, has been working his way back to the coaching staff's good graces.

The Jets' week 15 matchup against the Detroit Lions would be a great time to make a statement to the Jets and the rest of the league. This season has seen Moore put up a stat line of 28 receptions, 351 receiving yards, and one touchdown in 12 games.
