The New England Patriots are going through a special night, with the franchise introducing Tom Brady into its Hall of Fame and reuniting plenty of important people for its history, such as Bill Belichick, Randy Moss - and, on some levels, Peyton Manning, who was there to support his rival and friend.
Robert Kraft was lucky enough to see Tom Brady leading the franchise to six Super Bowl wins during two decades, and three other seasons where they made it to the big game but failed to convert into another title. This era officially ended in January, when New England parted ways with Bill Belichick.
Although cutting the cord wasn't easy either with the quarterback or the head coach, Kraft knows how happy he was during that period. He announced that Brady's jersey number, #12, was officially retired from the franchise; but he also announced a Brady statue measuring 12 feet tall, which sent fans into a frenzy for the recognition of the greatest of all time:

Tom Brady's career with the New England Patriots was nothing short of historic
To go from the 199th pick to the greatest player of all time is some route, but that's exactly what the quarterback did during his NFL career. Joining forces with Bill Belichick in 2000, the pair became unstoppable throughout the years, driven by the sole purpose of winning and leaving no stone unturned.
While it's true that Tom Brady won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, nobody will ever think of the Florida team as where he became the superstar that he was: for two decades, the thought of playing Brady and the Patriots was scary for any NFL team, and they surely deserved the fear.
Retiring the #12 jersey was the least that the team could do. One could argue that Robert Kraft could've done a better job of not burning the relationships created during the dynasty, but with Belichick, Kraft and Brady sitting together on this occasion, it's fair to say that everybody recognizes how great was their period working together.
Patriots fans, at least, know they had the best of times.
