The retired Eli Manning co-hosts an alternate broadcast of ESPN's Monday Night Football with his elder brother Peyton. He's also a key co-owner of NJ/NYGotham FC, New York City's NWSL club, but both those ventures pale in comparison to what he's eyeing next.

On CNBC Sport on Wednesday, the former NFL quarterback, who's net worth is valued at around $160 million, said that he's interested in acquiring a minority stake in the $7.3 billion New York Giants (as per Forbes), with whom he spent his entire playing career and won two Super Bowls.

“It’s definitely something of interest. There’s probably only one team I’d be interested in pursuing, and it’s the one I played for for 16 years, and it’s local, and makes the most sense, but we just got to figure out if they would ever sell a little bit.”

Eli Manning also expounded on how he perceives life after football:

“I think my quest post-football is trying to find that passion and find something similar that I can work towards or am truly committed to. I kind of feel like I get to start over a little bit, and I’m enjoying that learning process of figuring out what else I’m passionate about.”

Eli Manning agrees with Giants' decision to retain HC Brian Daboll, GM Joe Schoen

Having spent his entire career in Big Blue, Eli Manning knows when things are going well and when they aren't. And he supports the latest decision regarding the operation of the roster.

A day after the Giants had endured their worst season in franchise history following a 13-20 loss at the Philadelphia Eagles, principal owner John Mara announced that he would keep coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen for a fourth season amidst speculation that one or both would be fired.

In the same interview, the former four-time Pro Bowler said that the franchise is right to emphasize continuity, especially with the presence/emergence of future franchise legends like wide receiver Malik Nabers, nose tackle Dexter Lawrence and linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux:

“They have some playmakers, some superstars on the team. It’s just about getting everybody to buy in and to work together, and finding ways to win some of these tight games. And I think it’s the right move by keeping these guys there. Let them bring in their guys, let them create their style and culture.”

Eli Manning will attend next month's Verizon FanFest alongside running back and former teammate Tiki Barber, Hall of Fame linebacker Patrick Willis and former Dallas Cowboys all-time great tight end Jason Witten, among others.
