Rihanna will be performing on stage in Super Bowl after four years

The Super Bowl LVII halftime show is set to feature one of the most keenly-awaited solo performances in history. Rihanna, a once-in-a-generation performer, is the headline act, and will take to the stage on Sunday in Glendale, Arizona.

The Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles will take place at the State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals.

It will mark a comeback for the superstar singer, who has not performed live in seven years. Her last concert tour was in 2016 to promote the album ANTI. Her most recent live televised performance took place in 2018 at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards in New York City.

In the meantime, she has been concentrating on expanding her fashion company and in 2017, she gave birth to her first child with rapper boyfriend A$AP Rocky.

Since the halftime show is produced in collaboration with her mentor Jay-Z's RocNation, it was only a matter of time before Rihanna was invited to grace the stage.

The Super Bowl could be precursor to greater things for Rihanna

Everyone is eager to watch Rihanna perform live again. The Barbadian could be joined by a number of talented singers, including Jay-Z.

Rihanna has nine Grammy Awards and 12 Billboard Music Awards. She was recently nominated for the Best Original Song for 'Lift Me Up' at the upcoming Academy Awards. 'Lift Me Up' was included on the soundtrack for Wakanda Forever, the Black Panther sequel, last year.

It was her first solo single to be released in over six years and is presently up for Best Song at the Oscars.

Her Super Bowl performance is anticipated to be one of the biggest musical comebacks in history. Hopefully, it meets expectations and is preceded and followed by an equally riveting effort from the players.
