Shedeur Sanders is going to be one of the hottest prospects of the 2025 NFL Draft. Along with Cam Ward, he's considered one of the top two quarterbacks in the upcoming class, and due to positional value, he's extremely likely to be a top-five pick during the recruitment.
With all but eight teams already eliminated from the NFL season, the discussion has started to shift to the draft. And Sanders' stock is going to be a huge topic of discussion, especially as his intangibles as a quarterback are there, but his athleticism is lacking a bit.
According to NFL insider Daniel Jeremiah, this is the discussion that many teams will hold in the upcoming months:
"Shedeur [Sanders] is going to be, you know, some teams are going to really, really like him, and some teams, you know, aren't. Because he doesn't have the exceptional size, he doesn't have an exceptional arm. He's not an exceptional athlete. He's really, really solid. His superpower is, accuracy, touch, anticipation, like the throwing stuff, is great.

"Drop back, see, sort and deliver the ball where it needs to go accurately. That's what Shedeur does really well. It's just, I think, as through the spring process, you know, some people that are going to be more traits based in their analysis aren't going to be as high on him. So that's going to be the discussion."
The first overall pick is held by the Tennessee Titans, with the Cleveland Browns and the New York Giants coming after. Arguably, these three teams are in the hunt for a new quarterback.
Shedeur Sanders' father Deion could be moving to the NFL
The quarterback, who plays for the Colorado Buffaloes, is coached by his father, legendary cornerback Deion Sanders. He won two Super Bowls during his career, one with the San Francisco 49ers and one with the Dallas Cowboys a year later.
The Cowboys have a head coach opening, and according to reports, owner Jerry Jones spoke with Deion to inquire about the possibility of an interview. While there's nothing official, it looks like Jerry's call moved the coach:
“To hear from Jerry Jones is truly delightful, and it’s intriguing,” Deion Sanders told ESPN. "I love Jerry and believe in Jerry. After you hang up, and process it, and think about it, it’s intriguing. But I love Boulder and everything there is about our team, the coaches, our student body and the community.”
