The New York Jets are staring at yet another offseason clouded with uncertainty and perhaps, regret. Especially, all eyes are on Aaron Rodgers. The four-time MVP's future with the Jets and potentially in the NFL has become the hottest topic.
Adding fuel, three-time Super Bowl champion Devin McCourty shared his insights during an episode of the "Up and Adams" show. When asked by host Kay Adams whether Rodgers might be playing his final game, McCourty didn’t mince words as the Jets and their $112.5 million-worth QB are at a crossroads.
"As a Jet? I think so," McCourty said. "Will it be his last game in football? I think, ultimately, that's up to him. I would say, overall, his play doesn't suggest that he'll be better next year."
Well, what’s next for Rodgers if his Jets days are over?

The former Patriots safety picked the Tennessee Titans as an unexpected but plausible destination.
“I think, like, Tennessee—possibly, maybe he wants to go down, spend a year in Nashville, enjoy it, go play there,” McCourty said.
With the Titans eyeing a reset at QB, A-Rod could possibly offer them a bridge to success in the future.
Additionally, McCourty suggested that even a reunion with Green Bay Packers partner-in-crime Davante Adams in Las Vegas Raiders is possible.
Yet, McCourty was quick to temper expectations. He pointed out that Rodgers' fallout in New York, including rumored tension with Garrett Wilson and impending free agency for key defensive players like DJ Reed could marr Rodgers’ appeal to any team.
Before wrapping up, McCourty said the final decision rests on Rodgers’ shoulders.
Aaron Rodgers broke silence about his last game with New York Jets
Speaking candidly on Wednesday, Aaron Rodgers hinted at a future that could involve leaving the Jets or NFL altogether.
"I'm just more resigned to the reality of the situation," Rodgers said, via ESPN. "I think there's going to be change here, and if I'm a part of the change, then I just want to make sure everybody knows I have nothing but gratitude for my time here."
Looking back at his time in the NFL, he reflected:
"This game has given me a lot. I've given a lot back to it, and I'm thankful for it. I won’t be thinking about that on game day. I’ll just be enjoying this ... but, of course, it’s been a long career."
A-Rod's body language in recent weeks screams disappointment, especially, with back-to-back losses and a season that spiraled out of control. Thus, the veteran QB is ready to take a break—mentally, physically and emotionally.
