Five-time NFL All-Pro Terrell Owens heaped praise on Arizona State Sun Devils running back Cam Skattebo. ASU suffered a 39-31 double-OT loss to the Texas Longhorns in the Peach Bowl.
The Sun Devils were led by Skattebo who had 30 carries for 143 yards and two touchdowns while catching eight passes for 99 yards. He also completed a 42-yard touchdown pass in a trick play.
After the game, Owens took to X to praise Skattebo and compared him to former RB, Marshawn Lynch.

"I’ve been seeing snippets of this kid @camskattebo5 the last couple of years and after today I AM A CAM SKATTEBO fan!!! He’s a dog!!! Respectfully, He’s the white version of @MoneyLynch (Marshawn Lynch) BEASTMODE!!," Owens wrote.
Skattebo was named Peach Bowl MVP despite Arizona State losing. ASU coach Kenny Dillingham wasn't surprised by Skattebo's performance as he says that's what he did all year long.
"He's a special player," Dillingham said, via ESPN. "It's just Cam. It's exactly what I expected, bottom line. When you give him the ball, crazy things happen."
Skattebo finished the season with 1,711 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns while adding 605 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Where will Cam Skattebo go in the NFL Draft?
Cam Skattebo will be in the 2025 NFL Draft and will probably hear his name called.
The Sun Devils running back is expected to be a Day 3 pick in the NFL Draft. Although he dominated college, some scouts are worried about his size in the NFL, according to The Athletic.
"He’s not fast enough to be a featured back in the NFL and, frankly, he’s not big enough to play the way he does and handle a huge workload at the next level. However, effort and toughness translate to special teams and being dependable when his number’s called," Nick Baumgardner wrote.
Skattebo is listed at 5'11" and 215 lbs by the Sun Devils. He's not ranked in Mel Kiper Jr.'s top 10 running backs for the 2025 NFL Draft.
