Aaron Rodgers will join an exclusive club during the 2024 NFL season, as long as he attempts one pass for the New York Jets. This would make him just the 10th quarterback in NFL history to do so during their age 41 season, according to the New York Post.
Rodgers will turn 41 in December this year and is also coming off of a season-ending Achilles injury.
Another member of the '41 club', Warren Moon recently spoke with the Post about what Rodgers is dealing with this season. He encouraged him to use the doubters as motivation and believe in his own abilities.
Moon stated:

"Aaron is a four-time MVP, so in his mind, he can think, 'I've done it all and what else do I need to prove?' But now, because of this injury, people are starting to doubt him a little bit. So, it's something to motivate him and say, 'I'm going to go out there and show these guys I still have that same type of MVP play in me'."
It hasn't been long since Aaron Rodgers won the NFL MVP award in consecutive years, as he did so with the Green Bay Packers for the 2020 and 2021 seasons.
Warren Moon thinks that he should channel that version of himself to prove the doubters wrong.
According to the New York Post, Rodgers will be the first quarterback looking to join the '41 club' following a season-ending injury. Drew Brees and Warren Moon both suffered significant injuries in their age 40 seasons but were able to return to the field before the season concluded.
Playing into his 40s would have been challenging for a healthy Rodgers, but this may complicate things even further.
Aaron Rodgers is looking to other NFL legends in the infamous QB 41 club
Just nine quarterbacks in NFL history have attempted a pass in the season that they turned 41 years old in. Aaron Rodgers is looking to become the 10th member of this club.
It currently includes just seven quarterbacks who have made at least 50 passing attempts during their age-41 season. The Jets are obviously hoping that he can far exceed that number.
Here are the current members of the QB 41 club:
- Tom Brady
- Drew Brees
- Brett Favre
- Warren Moon
- George Blanda
- Doug Flutie
- Vinny Testaverde
- Earl Morrall
