Aaron Rodgers still takes shot at Lions despite Packers Week 9 loss

Aaron Rodgers is never afraid to speak his mind, especially when it comes to the long-time NFC North rival Detroit Lions. The Green Bay Packers quarterback spoke to the media following their 15 - 9 loss to the Lions at Ford Field in Week 9. The four-time NFL MVP told the media that losing against a team like the Lions was unacceptable. Here's how he put it:

"Can't lose a game like that against that team."

In the loss, Rodgers went 23 of 43 for 291 yards passing with a touchdown and three interceptions. Two of the quarterback's interceptions came as the Packers were close to scoring a touchdown. The first interception came in the first quarter. A pass intended for wide receiver Allen Lazard was picked off by defensive back Kerby Joseph.

The second came on a pass intended for two-time All-Pro offensive tackle David Bakhtiari but was intercepted by Lions rookie Aidan Hutchinson. The interception came in the second quarter as the Packers were on the Lions' one-yard line.

Prior to the Week Nine matchup, Rodgers had thrown a combined two interceptions in his previous eight starts against the Lions. The Packers have lost their fifth game in a row after winning three of their first four to start the season. Now, it's unfamiliar territory for the 38-year-old star quarterback in his career.
