Aaron Rodgers came under scrutiny when a report went viral in late August claiming that the New York Jets was the most unstable team in the league. The anonymous NFL agent also mentioned Rodgers as not being a "team player."
"There is complete disarray over there. Look at how they’ve handled Aaron Rodgers. Has one player had more power than him? He skipped minicamp. They have been unable to convert him into a team player. The vibe inside the building is terrible." (H/T The Athletic)
In the latest episode of The Pat McAfee Show, the 4x NFL MVP addressed the report and said that it was an attempt at discrediting the Jets franchise.

"I would say the culture is about the opposite of what that article said," Rodgers claimed. "Just reading that headline there sounds like it was written by Haason Reddick's agent, former agent, I guess. Possibly in a way to try and disparage our great organization."
Pat McAfee also jumped in to defend the Jets and said that during the New England Patriots game, it looked like there was great chemistry between the team members.
"So there's just three plays that I saw from the game the other night that indicated that your team is very together, and maybe the complete opposite of a horrendous culture."
He cited that when one of the teammates was picked up and thrown on the ground by a Patriots defender, lineman John Simpson jumped in and confronted the defender.
Another incident he cited to prove that things were good within the Jets was when Aaron Rodgers was tackled by one of the defenders and Allen Lazard faced off against the defender.
Aaron Rodgers takes a jab at Pat McAfee for "overreacting"
Earlier in the episode, A-Rod called out Pat McAfee and analysts who wrote off teams after just Week 3 of the season. According to him, it was too soon to dismiss any team as not making it to the playoffs.
"Everybody's overreacting. They're writing off teams. What people are writing off teams in first two weeks? And look what happened, you know, but it could be anybody, and now the narrative changes for everybody."
He said that when the Jets fell to the San Francisco 49ers, everyone wrote them off and said they would continue their playoff drought. But the Jets went on to win their next two games and the media narrative around them changed completely.
However, only time will tell if the Jets really manage to end their 13-year playoff drought now that they have Aaron Rodgers as their starting QB.
