Aaron Rodgers is already dealing with the massive expectations of giving the New York Jets their first Super Bowl since 1969. But now he might have a more damning issue to handle.
Excerpts from a soon-to-be released Out of Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers, Ian O'Connor's biography of the four-time MVP quarterback, have been making the rounds of the internet. They reveal a depressing picture of how his family's handling of relationship with actress Olivia Munn caused an intrafamilial split. In the latest one, father Ed says:
“She just made stuff up to make herself look good. She said the family was dysfunctional before she met Aaron, which is bull.”
He adds that the Rodgers household had been a mostly happy one before she came along:

Aaron Rodgers' mother Darla denies Olivia Munn's claim of NFL MVP's family using his career to boost profile
Back in 2018, Olivia Munn had this to say about Aaron Rodgers' mother Darla on Andy Cohen's SiriusXM show:
“I do believe that family and fame and success can be really complicated if their dreams are connected to your success. Their work has a direct connection to what he does... I don’t think either side of the road is clean, but I do think it’s not OK when you try to stand on someone’s shoulders and then throw dirt in their face, which is what I think they did with him.”
In another excerpt from the autobiography, his mother Darla refuted that notion:
“I can think about showbiz families that, like the Kardashians, climb all over each other for fame and stuff like that. But that’s not our family. Nobody did that.”
But that is not her only gripe with Munn. Darla also supposedly claimed Munn had boasted about doing "premarital sex" with Rodgers, whose parents are known to be very devout Christians. A close family source told O'Connor:
“She was saying all that and it pissed Darla off, really pissed her off.”
Though the couple broke up in 2017, Rodgers remains estranged from his family. However, in an excerpt, he calls his family issues "deep-rooted" and says Munn was not responsible for the issues.
