Aaron Rodgers' family feud is once again in the headlines. The New York Jets quarterback has been on bad terms with his family for almost a decade. And his parents think the seeds of the feud were planted by Rodgers' ex-girlfriend, Olivia Munn, according to the quarterback's biography.

Even though the book — "Out of the Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers" — is yet to be released, it has already proved controversial. The book includes multiple interviews with Rodgers and his family.

As described by author Ian O'Connor in the book, Rodgers' family blames the quarterback's ex-girlfriend Olivia Munn for the nine-year feud. Rodgers' family is now going viral, and the Jets star made it clear that she should not be blamed.

On Friday, People reported that Rodgers told O'Connor that Munn had "nothing to do with" his controversial relationship with the family. The publication also reported that Rodgers hadn’t wanted this detail to be made public.

“Aaron has never wanted to air this out in a public forum. He’s going through great precautions not to make this worse. You’re not going to see him on Oprah crying about all of this. He will deal with his family issues privately," a source reported to People.

It is claimed that the quarterback hasn't seen his family in more than nine years. However, Rodgers did meet his father, Edward Wesley Rodgers, last year.

Aaron Rodgers recalls unexpected meeting with father Ed

In "Out of the Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers," the quarterback told O'Connor he broke his streak of separation from family. Rodgers spoke about the moment he unexpectedly met his father, Ed.

The father-son duo met during the American Century Championship golf tournament in 2023. Ed got a ticket from one of his patients. As described in the book, Ed went to the event hoping to meet his son, and that's exactly what happened.

The four-time MVP spotted his father on his way to the bathroom. Rodgers described being surprised and wanting to act as if talking on the phone to avoid him. However, the Jets’ star did the exact opposite.

“I could do a lot of things. But I just thought, ‘What’s best in this moment, and what kind of gift could I give him?’ Because I do love him. I don’t have animosity toward him, even with all the stuff that’s been said and done,” Rodgers told O'Connor.

There was a moment of silence between the two, but the NFL MVP broke it with a “Hi, Pops.” They said, “I love you,” to each other, and Ed was stunned in the moment, as he described to O'Connor.

“It had been so long since we even looked at each other. I just kind of froze,” Ed told O'Connor.

Ed summed up his experience of meeting his son after many years as “amazing.” But that doesn’t change the fact that Rodgers’ parents still blame his ex-girlfriend Munn for breaking ties with the quarterback. Let’s see what the future brings for the family.
