Aaron Rodgers will be wearing a Jets come the start of the 2023 season as it seems that the Green Bay Packers are moving on from him. There have been reports that the four-time NFL MVP has a list of free agents in mind to join him in New York. A couple of these names include wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr., Allen Lazard, and Randall Cobb.
It makes sense to want the likes of Lazard and Cobb as they were teammates with Rodgers last season in Green Bay. The familiarity is there and would fit into the offense run by former Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.
According to ESPN NFL insider Dianna Russini, the quarterback has former Packers tight end Marcedes Lewis on that wishlist as well.

On The Pat McAfee Show, where the 39-year-old quarterback makes weekly appearances, McAfee spoke on the wishlist and commented on whether it would work from a business perspective.
"Aaron Rodgers has provided the New York Jets with a wishlist of free agents. He would like them target and acquire, per sources. It includes Randall Cobb, Allen Lazard, Mercedes Lewis, and Odell Beckham Jr. I don't know how that's gonna happen business-wise.
"And they gonna sign Aaron. That's a wishlist. Didn't Aaron even say on here though? He's not gonna like holding anybody hostage for a point. He obviously has guys he wants, but he's not gonna let it ruin things."
Aaron Rodgers stands to make close to $60 million in the upcoming season, which could impact his reported wishlist. However, the Green Bay Packers star noted on McAfee's show recently that he would be open to reworking his current deal.
Would Aaron Rodgers rework his deal to help the New York Jets?
The Super Bowl winning quarterback talked about the idea of reworking his current deal to help get a deal done back in January on McAfee's show. In this case, it would be for the New York Jets.
Aaron Rodgers' current deal would be almost $32 million against the Jets' salary cap in 2023.
Rodgers said:
"There's a lot of teams, because of COVID, that are strapped, and you're seeing with a lot of different contracts, they're pushing more money out in deals. They're creating void years to allow for an easier cap hit, so there would have to be some adjustments, for sure."
His wishlist of Odell, Lazard and Cobb seems like a lot. Time will tell if the 10-time Pro Bowl signal-caller will do so to accommodate these moves once he officially becomes a Jet.
