Aaron Rodgers' mic dysfunction on ManningCast draws hilarious trolls from fans - "Proof the 49ers used black magic on him"

Tampa Bay Buccaneers v New York Jets
Aaron Rodgers' recent ManningCast appearance has been marred by tehnical difficulties

Aaron Rodgers' visit to the "ManningCast" did not go as well as he had hoped.

On Monday, the New York Jets quarterback joined Peyton and Eli Manning in their alternate commentary of the game between the San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings. But something was not right.

As the multiple-time MVP was speaking, his microphone kept on picking up feedback:

This led many to believe that Rodgers was seemingly being punished for his past mishaps:

Examining Aaron Rodgers' California connections

While most of the Aaron Rodgers roasts pertained to his anti-vaccine stance, the first listed goes far further than that.

For most of his career, he has been defined by one place: Green Bay, whose Packers he led for 18 seasons as its star quarterback.

But not many know that he also has strong connections to Northern California. He was born in Chico near the state capital of Sacramento and initially played football there in both high school and early college before transferring to the University of California, Berkeley.

Those connections made him confident that he would be chosen first overall by the San Francisco 49ers in 2005. However, they instead went for Alex Smith, and Rodgers could only watch as he fell all the way down to 24th in one of the most embarrassing moments in draft history.

He recalled:

"Here I am, we're in the 20s and they're cleaning up the other six tables they had set up in there, and here I am sitting there with my mom and dad, my brother, my best friend, and my agent; and you've got the camera looking at you the entire time and knowing that there's a ton of people watching this and knowing I've got to keep it get together.
"Next thing you know I'm four hours into this and still nobody's picking me. The toughest stretch was after we got past 16, I don't know if it was the Saints or Carolina or somebody who was a long shot... but between 17 and 23 there was no way I was getting picked. They all had established starters and I'm thinking to myself, 'That's 15 minutes for each team, so that's an hour and a half.'"

The slide worked out well for him though, as he would blossom as a Packer, becoming one of the league's most efficient passers, a one-time Super Bowl champion and a four-time league MVP.
