Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is rumored to be very close to joining the New York Jets. The Packers are willing to move on from their veteran quarterback, and the Jets are ready to offer the required price.
Rodgers' comments regarding the Jets from the previous season have resurfaced ahead of his potential move. An indication of the four-time NFL MVP's opinion of the current Jets club can be gleaned from his public praise of the team.
Here's what Rodgers said on the Pat McAfee Show about the New York Jets:

"The league, you know, is stronger across the board. You know, a team like the Jets who you know have always been the jets or whatever, that's kind of the moniker around them. That's not the same old jets, you know, this is a good football team. They're very well coached, they got good players.
"They got to get schemes, good players, they added to the mix since we played them last year, they added obviously, through the draft and a couple of guys and free agency that can really play. You got a couple guys that can really cover the veteran leadership on the back end."
Based on the comments above, Rodgers certainly looked keen to play for a team like the New York Jets, and he is now very close to getting traded to them. The Packers quarterback has only won one Super Bowl in his career, and it seems like the Jets will provide him with a better shot at winning the second one of his career.
The Green Bay Packers, on the other hand, will hand Jordan Love the opportunity to become the starting quarterback and finally show the world what he is capable of.
Aaron Rodgers would make New York Jets a Super Bowl contender
The Jets impressed everyone with how they played last season. All their young players stepped up and they could have very easily made the playoffs had their quarterback played well.
They will likely be a force to be reckoned with next season, thanks to Aaron Rodgers' presence at quarterback. Their roster is still young, which gives them the best chance of winning the Super Bowl with Rodgers. As per many sources, it's just a matter of time before the Packers quarterback ends up in New York.
