The New Yorks Jets' search for their new general manager is ongoing. Frustrated with the team's poor performance, the organization first fired coach Robert Saleh, and when that did not seem to improve matters, the axe fell on GM Joe Douglas. Phil Savage is currently serving as the team's interim general manager.
On Tuesday, the Jets interviewed Thomas Dimitroff for the role. Dimitroff previously served as the Atlanta Falcons' GM but was fired alongside coach Dan Quinn after missing the playoffs for three straight seasons and starting the 2020 season 0-5. Now, the Jets have interviewed Jon Robinson for the position.
However, fans were not impressed with Robinson's resume. They took to X (formerly Twitter) to react to the news, with some mocking the organization and one suggesting that quarterback Aaron Rodgers was the real GM of the team.

"Aaron Rodgers is the real GM," one fan said.
Another fan warned Robinson not to accept the job if offered, as it might involve dealing with significant chaos.
"Jon don't take the job for your own peace."
Here are other fan reactions to the news:
"Hiring the man that traded AJ brown away would be so on brand for the jets," one fan said.
"Guess you’re looking for a guy who will trade your franchise’s best player away for scraps," another player commented.
"Will the new GM have the authority to dump Aaron Rodgers as Jets QB?" one user remarked.
"He sure looks like a good scapegoat in a few years. Solid pick." another fan joked.
Who is Jon Robinson, and what is his record?
Jon Robinson previously served as the Tennessee Titans' GM. During his tenure from 2016 to 2022, the Titans posted a 66-43 record. Under his leadership, the team made the playoffs four times and won the AFC South twice.
Jon Robinson did not oversee a single losing season during his first six years with the team. He was also praised for his keen eye for talent, having drafted current Baltimore Ravens star Derrick Henry, wideout AJ Brown and Cleveland Browns tackle Jack Conklin.
However, he drew heavy criticism when he stalled working out a deal with Brown and eventually sent him packing to the Philadelphia Eagles. The decision sparked backlash from fans and even drew public disapproval from Titans head coach Mike Vrabel.
