Fame has impacted the romantic relationships of many NFL stars, including Aaron Rodgers. The New York Jets star recently went down memory lane to talk about the struggles he faced with his previous romantic relationships due to his growing fame.
Netflix released the second episode of its Aaron Rodgers documentary called "Aaron Rodgers: Enigma,” in which the quarterback made a major revelation about his relationships.
Rodgers claimed that he enjoyed the fame but not the additional attention that came on his private life. Talking about the same, the Jets star said:
“I always find it interesting when people say, in reference to the off-the-field attention, ‘Well, this is what you signed up for.’ I say, 'F--k that, I never signed up for that.'

"I signed up for football because I love the game and I got great at it because I’m hyper-competitive and super-motivated. But there’s this whole other part that comes with it that’s a lot of great stuff and a lot of f--king weird stuff.”
He then added:
“I didn’t do myself any favors with some of the girls I dated after that, that were in the public eye. I definitely hated it at first – like, really despised it. I enjoyed my private life. I enjoyed being able to go places. But from Super Bowl MVP, MVP, State Farm commercials, that got a little bit more difficult,” Rodgers further added.
Moving forward in the episode, Aaron Rodgers also took a swipe at his family. The decorated QB claimed that he was left alone to be his “own parents,” especially in moments when he needed to be under his parents’ shadow.

In one of the segments of the second episode, according to PageSix, Aaron Rodgers talked about his bond with his family growing up. Rodgers revealed how he had to separate himself from his “dysfunctional” family to be his “own parent.” Opening up about the same, Rodgers said:
“At times when you have some dysfunction or some separation in your family life, you have to kind of reparent yourself and give yourself what you didn’t get or wanted to hear more of when you were a kid, and I think for me, I just wanted to hear, ‘I’m proud of you.’
“I had to find a way to be my own parent in those moments and say, ‘Hey, f–k being perfect. I’m proud of who you are and what you’ve accomplished on and off the field.' And forgiveness for all the mistakes, because I was just trying to do the best I could and, a lot of times, it wasn’t good enough,” Rodgers further added.
Earlier this month, Aaron Rodgers’ ex-girlfriend Shailene Woodley made headlines as she opened up about her battle with depression after parting ways with the Jets quarterback.
