Two-time reigning NFL MVP and Green Bay Packers superstar Aaron Rodgers has had a rough start to the 2022 NFL season. Through six games, the quarterback is averaging a modest 233 passing yards per game and has thrown nine touchdown passes and three interceptions. The Packers are 3-3 and are currently trailing the 5-1 Minnesota Vikings in the race for the NFC North division title.

Rodgers' tough start has been coupled with the fact that the Packers have struggled to surround him with elite receivers. They also have former first-round draft pick Jordan Love waiting in the wings to take over the mantle from the four-time league MVP. Many are wondering whether the Packers superstar will walk away from the sport after the 2023 NFL season.

In June, the quarterback confirmed that he would retire a Packer and won't seek a move away from the franchise. So is the 2022 season a swansong for Rodgers During a recent interview, Aaron Rodgers had this to say about his love for football:

"I love this. This is a lot of fun for me. I miss being out there at practice today. I love practicing, but I mean, I love it. I live for this. I wake up in the morning thinking about this. I go to bed at night dreaming about what plays I can make up to piss Matt off and this has been my love since I was five years old. And I still love waking up every day knowing I'm coming in."

Aaron Rodgers has already nudged Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst to make moves before the NFL trade deadline on November 1st. Here's what he said on the Pat McAfee show:

"So, we've had conversations, and I trust that they'll be in the mix on certain guys that they liked. As always, it comes down to the need price cost of those certain players. But I know Brian is going to do his best for our football team. If he feels like adding a guy or two to the mix, then I'm sure he's going to try and make that happen."

Will the Packers be able to add firepower to their offense or will Rodgers be stuck with an underwhelming receiving unit for the rest of the season?

The deadline is fast approaching and it remains to be seen what the Packers will do to improve their roster.
