Aaron Rodgers reveals he's going into total isolation to decide his future in NFL

Aaron Rodgers' future in NFL is uncertain

Will Aaron Rodgers retire this off-season or be traded to a new team? The four-time MVP-winning quarterback will make a decision soon, as he plans to go into a retreat by himself to help himself make a decision.

Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers said that he will go into isolation to fully think through his decision.

"Well, I'm still in the art of contemplation about my future. And that's why I think it's gonna be important to get through this week, and then, you know, to take my isolation retreat, and just to be able to contemplate all things, my future and then make a decision that I feel like is best for me, moving forward and the highest interest of my happiness and then move forward."

Rodgers added that he will be isolated in complete darkness, stating that he's had friends that have had good experiences doing this.

"So it's four nights of complete darkness. But it's a darkness retreat and I've had, you know, a number of friends who've done it and had some profound experiences. And it's something that's been on my radar for a few years now. And I felt like it'd be awesome to do regardless of where I was leaning after this season."

Rodgers has been the subject of trade talks this off-season. A mutual divorce seems to be in the works between him and the Green Bay Packers, which could result in a trade or him potentially retiring.

Rodgers has hinted multiple times at retiring, dating back to the last off-season. However, after a disappointing season, both personally and as a team, the chances of him calling it a day seem stronger.

While Aaron Rodgers has some decisions to make, it is likely that he willl be traded to an AFC team. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that if the Packers do trade Rodgers, it will be to a non-NFC team.

Thus far, Rodgers has been linked most prominently to the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets.

Jets All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner joined Good Morning Football this morning and said that he knows a little something regarding Aaron Rodgers to the Jets. The team also hired his former offensive coordinator, Nathaniel Hackett.

While the Jets have been linked to Rodgers, he reportedly told his agent, David Dunn, that he would rather play for the Raiders.

The move would reunite him and All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams, as the two have been flirting with the idea of reuniting.
