Aaron Rodgers' future with the Green Bay Packers is going to be one of the hottest topics of conversation during the 2023 NFL offseason. All options appear to be on the table for the superstar quarterback, including returning to the Packers for another year, seeking a trade and possibly retiring. The NFL world awaits an update on his intentions, as he's been vague to this point about his desires.

Rodgers recently appeared on the "Pat McAfee Show" to talk about his plans for the 2023 offseason. While he didn't give the update most fans were hoping for, he did make an announcement about a different sports competition.

"I'm going to play in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am (golf tournament)," Rodgers said. "I need a little competition in my life, so I'm excited about that. I'm excited to get out to Pebble. I haven't played there in a few years."

Host Pat McAfee then asked if this type of competition is part of his process in deciding what he wants to do next year in relation to his NFL career, to which Aaron Rodgers responded:

"Last year, we lost in the divisional round. But we had a couple of runs to the NFC championship, so you're still playing at this time. It's fun, you know ... tThere's only four teams still playing, and the other 28 are out whale watching. So, when you're still playing, you're still excited about what's in front of you.
"When you're on the other side of that, I think you miss that competition. Anything that can fill that void, if you've got a big competition hole in your body, it's nice to try and do that. For me, I love playing golf ... so I'm excited to be back out there."

With his 2022 season over, Rodgers has now turned his attention to playing golf during the offseason. He has competed in many amateur tournaments and celebrity events, as golf is admittedly one of his passions. He might find more success on the golf course than he did on the football field this year.

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers entered the 2022 NFL season with extremely high expectations. Rodgers began the year having won two consecutive MVP awards, while the Packers recorded three consecutive seasons with 13 wins each. This resulted in them being one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl, despite not having been to one in a decade.

The season didn't go anywhere near the way Aaron Rodgers and the Packers hoped it would. Rodgers had one of the worst statistical seasons of his career and was never in the MVP conversation at any point. The Packers not only fell short of their Super Bowl goals, but failed to even make it to the NFL playoffs. They were defeated by the Detroit Lions in Week 18 of the regular season, denying them a ticket to the postseason.
