On Sunday, Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets' two-game winning streak ended as Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos beat them 10-9 at MetLife Stadium in dire weather conditions.

The pouring rain made it difficult for both teams to find any rhythm in the passing game, resulting in a low-scoring encounter. The Jets had a chance to win the game on the final possession with a 50-yard field goal, but kicker Greg Zuerlein couldn't kick it through the uprights.

Despite the disappointing end, Rodgers refused to blame the kicker or the defense and instead took responsibility for the loss. During his postgame press conference, the veteran quarterback said:

"When your defense holds them to 10, you've got to win the game 100% of the time. That's on the offense, that's on me. Not good enough."

Given the circumstances, the 40-year-old had a decent outing, completing 24 of his 42 passes for 225 yards and rushing for 26 yards on five carries. However, he hasn't had a particularly notable campaign so far.

Aaron Rodgers stats: QB hasn't lived up to expectations

Through four games this season, Rodgers has completed only 64.1% of his pass attempts for 849 passing yards, five touchdowns, and one interception. He's averaging 212.25 passing yards per game, which ranks 19th in the league. It's also the lowest mark of his career since he became a starter.

Rodgers' only notable performance this season came against the New England Patriots in Week 3, when he threw for 281 yards and two touchdowns. His performances in the other three games left much to be desired.

The quarterback is seemingly still rusty after the season-ending Achilles injury he suffered last season. The Jets aren't in too bad of a position, as they are 2-2 and are only one game behind in the race for the AFC East title. However, if Rodgers doesn't pick up his form, it's unlikely their near-14-year wait for a playoff appearance will end this season.
