Aaron Rodgers is 6-8 with a tiny window of hope emerging for the Green Bay Paclers to make the playoffs.
However, after what he's seen this season, one former NFL player believes the 2022 season should be the last with Rodgers and Jordan Love on the same roster. Speaking on "Get Up," Marcus Spears explained his opinion:
"You can say that the Packers may look to offset Aaron Rodgers and his salary and just start to retool for the future. I believe either one is going to happen.
"If I'm Jordan Love, I don't want to be in Green Bay if Aaron Rodgers gonna be there the next two years as the starting quarterback making what he's making..."

Spears continued by explaining that Love could be closing in on a decade with the team if he continues to take the slow road:
"What year would he [Love] be in [if that happens]? Seven or eight by the time he legitimately has a chance to play quarterback in the NFL? So I believe there will be changes in the quarterback room... I've been staunch about [how] Aaron Rodgers should be traded."
Lastly, the analyst underlined how his wishes may not line up financially with the team:
"And you just recalibrate and start this thing over and let Jordan Love take over and see what you have. Obviously, that's not the case with the Green Bay Packers with a $350 million deal. I think Jordan Love would be the guy that wants out."
Despite disastrous season, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has held off Jordan Love in 2022
By their standards in recent years, the Green Bay Packers have been a shell of their former selves in 2022.
In each of the last three years, the team has won 13 games. However, as the New Year comes into focus, Aaron Rodgers is leading a team teetering on locking in a record below .500.
At one point, the Packers were 3-1 and business was going as usual. However, after a strong September, the team hit a wall in October and November.
During the slide, Rodgers struggled to get the offense into a healthy rhythm. This included one disastrous outing against the Detroit Lions that saw him throw for three interceptions.
Despite the slump, the only time Jordan Love saw the field was in a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles after Rodgers took a hit that knocked him out of the game. In his brief appearance, Love threw for one touchdown and 113 yards on nine attempts.
Will Rodgers win out to wrap up what would be a miraculous season or will Love take the field once again, perhaps for the final time as a Packer?
