Following Kansas City's 32-29 victory over Buffalo on Sunday, Mahomes Sr. posted a direct message on X.

"Today is a great day to not be from Buffalo..." Mahomes Sr. tweeted.

The comment references a conflict stemming from a November incident. During Week 11, Bills fans displayed a Kermit the Frog puppet wearing Patrick's number 15 jersey hanging from a noose at a tailgate event. The display mocked Patrick's distinctive voice, which fans often compare to the Muppet character.

Brittany Mahomes addressed the November incident on her Instagram Stories after Kansas City's win on Sunday.

"Do we remember this Buffalo? Absolutely disgusting... So as you go home tonight, I pray we become better people," Brittany wrote.

She followed with another post aimed at critics who questioned Patrick Mahomes' performance this season.

"Thank you all for your concerns with 15 this season. See y'all in New Orleans," Brittany wrote.

The Chiefs quarterback silenced doubters with a masterful performance. He completed 16 of 24 passes for 218 yards and one touchdown. His legs proved crucial, adding 45 rushing yards and two ground scores, including a decisive 10-yard run in the fourth quarter.

The Chiefs' victory propels them to the Super Bowl in New Orleans on Feb. 9. They will face the Philadelphia Eagles in a rematch of the 2023 Super Bowl, which they won 38-35.

Kansas City is chasing NFL history. A victory would make the first franchise the first to win three consecutive Super Bowls. The Chiefs have already won three championships in the last five years, with Patrick earning Super Bowl MVP honors twice.
